The final of the ladies pairs was played last Thursday and congratulations to both teams Helen Davies, Helen Dean and Laraine Mazurek, Barbara Rowe for reaching the final and the sportsmanship they showed throughout the game. All four ladies played shots that were winners and had the spectators gasping and clapping.  But as with all games there is a winner and a second and this game saw Helen Davies and Helen Dean Club Champion pairs for 2012.

Not to take anything away from the pairs game but on Friday at Taree Leagues Forster grade 3 ones Pennant team had a narrow win over Tuncurry, and Forster grade 5 twos had a win against Gloucester, giving Forster Ladies Bowling Club 2 Pennant Flags.

Well done to both these grades and a big congratulations to Gina Pain, chairperson of selection and her team on a great achievement for our club. 

Also the Forster  Bowling Club whished Laraine Mazurek good bowling in her District Single final played on Monday 16^th April at Taree Leagues.

Road Runners have a game set down for Sunday 6^th May, $15 per head, 8.30am ‘champagne and orange juice breakfast’.  The game is an improved version of S‘croungers’ it’s a paddle pop stick draw and I believe the trophy is hotly contested.
